Canvas has announced that their Discussions and Announcements Redesign user interface will be enforced on for all users this summer.
Penn State is now allowing users to preview the new user interface on a course-by-course basis in Canvas. Refer to Canvas’ documentation on how to enable and use Discussions Redesign.
- Once enabled, it is not possible to revert back.
- It is not recommended that live Spring courses switch to the new Discussions Redesign.
On May 7, Canvas’ Discussions and Announcements Redesign will be forced on for all Penn State courses. There is no migration or transition needed from the old discussions format to the new one, this change affects the look and feel of discussion, not the functionality.
